Job Description:

Daily beach patrol of 17 miles of undeveloped beach on Cumberland Island National Seashore searching for sea turtle crawls; identifying nesting crawls; locating nest chambers using probing techniques; data collection and entry for 1,000+ events; use of GPS units to record location information; egg collection for large scale Atlantic Coast genetics project; installation of predator deterrent screens and nest marker posts; relocating nests in danger of tidal inundation; monitoring nests during incubation and hatching; inventory hatched nests to evaluate success; identification of predator sign; implementation of predator management techniques; use of pick up trucks and UTVs; formal and informal interaction with the public relaying sea turtle conservation messaging; assisting NPS and GADNR staff with sea turtle and marine mammal stranding events

Salary:
Weekly Stipend: $300.00

Travel Allowance: $650.00
