Minor in Forestry

About this Degree

Learn from one of the oldest and most prestigious forestry programs in the country when you minor in Forestry. This minor complements a range of majors, whether you are interested in business, finance, or economics, or want to understand more about conservation, forest ecosystems, and the environment.

Forestry plays a large role in Georgia’s economy, communities, and environment. Understanding its role will give you a competitive edge after graduation.

What you will learn

A minor in Forestry includes 15 hours of coursework, including an introductory class and courses that take you into the field to learn skills used by professionals. Electives allow you to further customize your program of study, whether you’re interested in conservation, land management, or the human dimensions of the industry. Classes for this minor include:
