Job Description:

Rayonier’s Portfolio Management team is interested in filling two (2) intern positions for employment during the summer of 2024. The successful applicant will work with our Portfolio management team and receive job assignments based on their interests, skill sets, and the business needs of our team, with a primary focus on timberland valuation, forest biometrics and forest planning. Rayonier will endeavor to give you as much industrial forestry exposure as practically feasible. Rayonier Portfolio Management Interns The candidate selected for the Portfolio Management internship will be able to work on various portfolio management disciplines; however, specific tasks will likely depend on immediate business needs. There will be opportunities to explore other business units during the internship. At the end of the internship, there is an expectation that the intern makes a presentation on all the projects they worked on during the summer. The internship will work out of Rayonier’s Wildlight, Florida, office location. However, this job may require company-paid travel to other parts of Rayonier’s ownership (likely limited to Florida, Georgia, and Alabama).

Qualifications:

• Degree Concentration – Forest Business, Forest Biometry, Forestry, Forest Management, Forest Operations, Finance, Real Estate.

• Internship duration will be ten to twelve weeks.

• Students must provide their housing but will be given a net of $2,100 lump sum if housing is required.

• Proficiency in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is a minimum requirement. Additional skillsets in statistical software and programming (R, SAS, Python et al.) are a plus.

• The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently.

Salary:
• Graduate students (preferred), or students in their Senior year. Senior ($23/hr.) or Graduate studies ($24.50/hr.)
