Duties/Responsibilities

Independently lead, teach, manage K-12 grade students and chaperoning adults through multidisciplinary classes in an outdoor setting. Class subjects offered include a focus on coastal ecology, life science, earth science and marine science.

Duties/Responsibilities

General support of overall center operations including and not limited to: maintenance and upkeep of facilities (dorms, classrooms, education materials, vehicles), operating a UGA (14-passenger) mini-bus, dining hall support and assistance, and projects as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities

Animal care husbandry and maintenance for residential education reptiles, amphibians, marine invertebrates, coastal fishes, and more.

Lead staff responsibilities to support on-going reservations and guests.

· Skill in teaching a wide variety of subjects to K-12 grade youth

· Skill in group management of adults and students

· Broad knowledge of outdoor education and willingness to learn education content

· Communicate effectively with youth and adults
· Customer service and hospitality/food industry experience
· Work in a team
· Work independently
· Be flexible and adaptable
· Work with and care for live teaching animals (reptiles, amphibians, and others)
· Teach and work outside in buggy environments, extreme heat / cold and changing weather conditions
