Job Description:

As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will perform the following duties:

 

Apply applicable laws, regulations, and guidance as they relate to preparing and processing a diverse array of administrative support actions which may include duties such as procurement, travel arrangements, and financial reconciliation.

Manage and execute office administrative functions including, but not limited to, file management and disposition, records maintenance, answering phones, greeting guests, and establishing assignment priorities based on deadlines and due dates.

Utilize a variety of automated tracking/processing systems to: 1) Collect program information from technical specialists; 2) Enter it into electronic or manual information systems, and 3) Search for data as requested.

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.

 

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the ZS-3 or GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following:

 

Preparing and processing a diverse array of administrative support such as procurement, travel, arrangements, or related administrative actions; and

Maintaining records and automated tracking systems for summary information, data retrieval, and creating reports.

Miscellaneous:

 Payment of relocation incentives may be authorized for current Federal employees only.

 

* Payment of recruitment incentive may be authorized.

 

Salary:
$49,392 - $71,106 per year
