Job Description:

PGIM Agricultural Finance & Investments is a business unit of PGIM Real Estate, a wholly owned subsidiary of Prudential Financial, Inc.  With a 100-year history in the agricultural space, Prudential’s overall agriculture business provides management of real estate investments (equity) and lending in the agricultural sector throughout the United States and currently manages $7.0 billion of agricultural mortgages and over $1.9 billion of real estate investments.  PGIM Real Estate has a goal of growing its assets under management. 

PGIM Real Estate’s agricultural lending business has an opening for an Investment Analyst in our [Fresno, Ca; Lisle, IL; Memphis, TN; Orlando, FL; Roseville, CA] office.  Alternative and remote locations will be considered for the right candidate.   

The Investment Analyst works with the agricultural finance team in the evaluation of new agricultural loans and monitoring of credit risk in the existing agricultural mortgage loan portfolio, as well as conducting various industry research and analysis projects.

The individual we are seeking must be highly motivated with a blend of several abilities including excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills as well as an ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.  In addition to the analytical skill set, the individual must have good interpersonal skills with an interest in networking and business development. The candidate must have a strong desire to learn, and the ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications:

Your Required Skills:

  • B.S.  in business, agricultural finance, economics, or equivalent curriculum required.  Advanced degree a plus.
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience preferred in real estate investments and/or production agriculture or other agricultural business.
  • Strong research, data gathering, and organization skills required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications; particularly excel.
