Job Description, Responsibilities and Required Qualifications or Skills

Washington Farms is a prominent agritourism farm in the state of Georgia, and we are currently seeking students who have a passion for the outdoors, recreation, tourism and agriculture to join our team this spring! Our spring strawberry season starts in early April and runs through the end of May/beginning of June. During our spring season we offer Pick-Your-Own strawberries as well as our many recreational activities such as ziplines, petting zoo, low ropes course, hayrides and more!  

As an agritourism and recreation intern, you will have a variety of jobs throughout the spring season, and we will assign them to you based on your experience, personality, comfort level, etc. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting the employee manager with various tasks, helping customers, running an activity, running a cash register, managing a food service building, restocking product, etc. 

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 12 hours/week.
  • Must have availability on Saturdays and/or weekday mornings during the season.
  • Must be able to work individually as well as with a team.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors.
  • Must be very friendly, approachable, respectful, and willing to learn.
  • Must have the ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
