About Forever Young Aquaponics

Forever Young Aquaponics is an innovative agribusiness dedicated to sustainable, high-efficiency food production through aquaponics. We integrate advanced recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) with deep water culture (DWC) hydroponics to grow high-quality leafy greens while farming premium freshwater fish species in a closed-loop, resource-efficient environment. Our mission is environmentally responsible agriculture that optimizes water usage, reduces environmental impact, and delivers fresh, chemical-free produce to the local markets.

We are currently hiring technician-level professionals to join our operations at our two cutting-edge facilities in Walsenburg, CO (working with rainbow trout), and Jonesboro, GA (working with tilapia).

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Aquaculture Technician to support daily operations. The technician will assist with fish husbandry, water quality monitoring, system maintenance, and harvest operations to ensure optimal fish health and system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor fish health, growth rates, and feeding schedules.
  • Conduct routine water quality testing and system adjustments.
  • Perform stocking, grading, and harvesting.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot RAS components, including pumps, filters, and aeration systems.
  • Keep detailed records of water parameters, fish health, and feed usage.
  • Follow biosecurity and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in aquaculture, fisheries, or related fields preferred specific to species.
  • Knowledge of RAS and water quality management is a plus.
  • Ability to perform hands-on tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
