Are you so organized that others use your desk as inspiration? Can you easily switch tasks and move from one activity to the next? The Area Manager we are looking for is an orderly thinker and planner who can deliver results.

This individual will complete all aspects of fieldwork, office work, analysis, and reporting to a landowner or client. They will assist in forestry-related activities like road construction and maintenance, timber marking and inventory, boundary establishment, etc. The Area Manager will supervise all aspects of logging operations, including harvest setup, inspections, and merchandizing trees into forest products. Because they’re so methodical, it will be a breeze for them to monitor BMP and EMS Compliance to ensure third-party SFI certification.

Of course, interacting with people is another essential aspect of this position. The Area Manager will generate new business by meeting with potential clients to explain our business and illustrate the benefits of working with us. They will also prepare and negotiate contracts with independent contractors. Others will feel comfortable reaching out to the Area Manager because they are friendly and approachable.

Required Experience:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or a closely related field

• 5+ years of forestry experience

• Proficient with MS Office and GIS software

• Proficient with GPS and hand-held data recorders
