West/Central Alabama – Area Manager – Needed to deliver excellence

All of our foresters have the knowledge to inform any landowner the pros and cons when making decisions now that will affect the client’s property for the next 20 years.

 

The Area Manager we need is a team player, analytical and a forward thinker. This individual should be able to work independently and willing to get their hands dirty. Our Area Managers will use working and applied knowledge of forestry skills and will perform all aspects of forestry related fieldwork and analysis. They will design and implement timber harvesting plan programs to assure continuous production of timber or to assist clients to achieve other timber or wildlife habitat management objectives. They will assist in planning, administration and inspection of other forestry-related activities such as road construction, timber marking, silviculture activities, surveys, tract inspections, and boundary establishment. This position will also be using various technologies like GIS to assist in managing lands.

Additional Requirements:

• If offered within the state of employment, has a current Registered Forester’s license or ability to become a Registered Forester within three years of employment, or its equivalent.

• Required travel and ability to function as a team member on large projects throughout the U.S.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry, or closely related field.

• Pay: Salaried position with eligibility for annual bonus plan

• Valid driver’s license
