The Division of Forestry and Natural Resources has five programs of study: Energy Land Management (ELM), Forest Resources Management (FRM), Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources (RPTR), Wildlife and Fisheries Resources (WFR), and Wood Science and Technology (WST). The Division is located in Percival Hall on the Evansdale campus, manages the 107-acre farm woodlot in Morgantown, the 7,800-acre University Research Forest at Coopers Rock, and several other forest properties located throughout West Virginia. Duties and Responsibilities The faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the following areas: Introduction to Wildlife and Fisheries (WMAN 175), Natural History of Amphibians and Reptiles, and a graduate course in their area of expertise. They will also actively participate in mentoring of graduate students and curriculum development. The candidate will be expected to develop an externally funded, nationally recognized wildlife research program focusing on ecology and management of herpetofauna or wetland and riparian systems, complementing existing program strengths. The faculty member will engage in professional outreach activities and actively participate in university, community, and professional service activities. The faculty member will participate in program and division meetings, and contribute to course, curriculum and program assessment activities. Qualifications: Required: Candidates must have doctorate degree in Wildlife Science or related field.
