and fishing news. Our monthly magazine reaches thousands of loyal subscribers and is available

at nearly 1,000 retail locations. Through our active digital platforms, we connect with hundreds

of thousands of sportsmen and women each month. We also host the annual "GON Outdoor

Blast," a major outdoor show drawing thousands of enthusiasts.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Content Creator to join our team in producing compelling

hunting, fishing, and outdoor content across our media channels. This role combines editorial

responsibilities with content strategy, requiring both outdoor expertise and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and produce feature articles and news content for print, web, social media, and e-

   newsletter

• Meet monthly magazine publication deadlines

• Collaborate on content selection and placement across platforms

• Work closely with editors, freelance writers, and social media influencers

• Perform editorial review for accuracy and grammar

• Maintain GON's brand standards across all platforms

• Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and stakeholders

• Participate in field activities (hunts, fishing trips, GON events, Antler Scoring Days)

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated passion for and experience with Georgia hunting and fishing

• Proven ability to create engaging outdoor content

• Strong work ethic and excellent multitasking abilities

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects

• Experience with layout, design, and content management systems

• Social media expertise and digital platform management skills

• Must reside in close proximity to Watkinsville, Georgia

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with magazine/web layout and design

• Knowledge of AP style

• Social media and website management experience

• Proficiency with office software

• Adaptability to new systems and technologies

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Ability to participate in outdoor activities including hunting and fishing

• Capability to handle photography and outdoor equipment
