M.S. student Cassidy Brown is a master’s student from West Georgia who joined the Wilde lab in August of 2022. She has worked for the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as a trapping/banding technician of mourning doves and wood ducks. In collaboration with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, she conducted a study to show wood duck nest box success across three of Georgia’s geographic regions. Currently, she is researching the potential variables that affect wood duck artificial nest box success in the Georgia Piedmont. Specifically, she wants to investigate the potential for Vacuolar Myelinopathy (VM) in wood duck populations.
