Forestry (BSFR ’24) Hometown: Peachtree City, Georgia Why did you choose your Warnell major? I chose forestry because I enjoy the application of ecology to achieve a conservation or production goal. In forestry, you learn many techniques to grow trees more efficiently and sustainably harvest them, which boils down to principle ecological concepts and the manipulation of them. The application of these techniques is what gets me excited about a career in forestry! What's one thing you want your fellow students to know about you? Approach me at any time! I like making friends, and I'm a very open-minded person. If you ever want to talk about stuff, come find me out and about. What's your favorite Warnell memory? My favorite Warnell memory is prescribed burning a ~700 acre stand in the wildland fire course.
