Sarah Frances McNair

Research and Outreach Professional

Sarah Frances McNair is a fisheries research and outreach professional working with Dr. Nick Fuhrman, Wesley Gerrin, and Emma Browning. She has four years of professional experience and currently assists the Aquatic Resources Outreach Team with a variety of research and outreach endeavors. She also assists with the Georgia Fishes Field Study and is currently an advisor for the UGA Field Naturalist Society. Sarah also conducts algal identification and testing for the Extension Agricultural & Environmental Services Laboratories.

Sarah is passionate about connecting people with aquatic natural resources and is always happy to assist with outreach and research for audiences of all backgrounds and experience levels. She regularly assists with the development and delivery of educational workshops, outreach publications, field demonstrations, and presentations for students, natural resource professionals, Extension audiences, and the general public. She is also happy to provide technical assistance for senior theses and projects, as well as other research efforts, including water quality analysis, boat and backpack electrofishing, and benthic macroinvertebrate assessments.
