Fisheries and Wildlife, Wildlife Sciences (BSFR '27) Hometown Leesburg, GA Why did you choose your Warnell major? I chose to be a Wildlife Science major because I have always wanted to work hands-on with wild/exotic mammals and work to preserve endangered species. This is the first step in what I hope is a career in preserving and conserving our planet's at-risk habitats and species. What's one thing you want your fellow students to know about you? One thing to know about me is that if any of you have questions regarding courses or even if your major truly aligns with your future goals, I had those questions too, and am still working through them. If any of you feel a little lost or just need reassurance, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any of the other ambassadors. We are here to help you guys and make Warnell an even more welcoming place. What's your favorite Warnell memory (thus far)? My favorite memory at Warnell thus far has had to be when I went on Michel Kohl's FYOS trip to Vogel State Park. This trip helped me meet people not only in Warnell but also from different majors who shared a passion for wildlife and the outdoors. It challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and basically chill in the woods with strangers for a weekend. We got credits for swimming in the lake, herping, and just hanging out by the fire at night for hours. I can confidently say that I wish I could go back in time to do it all over again and make more fond memories, because that trip is what solidified my interest in wildlife and working in nature.
