Job Description:

The Ecological Restoration Specialist serves as a wetland and stream restoration project manager with a particular focus on coastal restoration efforts in DER’s Wetlands Restoration Program. The Ecological Restoration Specialist also provides programmatic support for the Wetlands Restoration Program including identifying, evaluating, and developing new potential projects; collecting field data, monitoring, and conducting assessments to inform project outcomes and the practice of wetland restoration; responding to technical assistance requests; and fundraising. This position also performs duties in support of general DER operations, including but not limited to training and outreach to landowners, partners, and other stakeholders. The Ecological Restoration Specialist will be based in DER’s Boston office; the position will follow a hybrid schedule, consisting of in-office and telework. Qualifications:

Applicants must have at least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, technical or professional experience in the field of environmental science, biology, chemistry, earth science, environmental health, meteorology, natural science, toxicology or public health, of which at least one year must have been in a professional capacity, or any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions listed in the job posting. $62,326.94 - $91,310.96 yearly
