Ecologist

Ecological Solutions, Inc. a growing natural resources consulting firm located in the Atlanta metropolitan area, is seeking a full-time wetlands ecologist/biologist with BS/MS degree in environmental science, biology, botany, ecology, or other related fields. Applicants should have 2 to 4+ years of relevant experience including independent delineation of wetlands, preparation of Section 404 permit packages, and advising clients on environmental issues. Preference will be given to applicants with wetland delineation experience, particularly field experience using the Atlantic and Gulf/Piedmont and Eastern Mountains delineation supplements is preferred.

The selected applicant will have the opportunity to work with a team of ecologists, wildlife biologists, and other professionals on a variety of environmental projects. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to conducting and overseeing jurisdictional delineations, preparing Section 404 permits, and client and agency coordination. Project opportunities range from conducting delineations, performing protected species surveys, leading agency coordination, etc. The position does require out of town, overnight travel. Travel is primarily within but not limited to Georgia and ranges from one night to several weeks at a time.
