Employer Resource Environmental Solutions, LLC Job Description, Responsibilities and Required Qualifications or Skills What your day-to-day might look like:Permitting and monitoring stream and wetland mitigation/restorationGeomorphic stream surveyingBenthic macroinvertebrate and fish surveysWetland and stream delineationsVegetation assessmentsEndangered species and habitat surveysReport and memo writingNo full-time experience is required to apply for this role, but experience doing research and field data collection is preferred. This position sometimes involves working in harsh and adverse weather. You will be walking long distances, bending, lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and performing other physical activities. This position is roughly 40% travel. Fieldwork is also seasonal, so travel may not be evenly distributed across the year.You will be performing data collection, entry, processing, and analysis, as well as technical writing based on your field efforts. This position involves extensive writing and data analysis. You will use programs such as Word, Excel, R, and ArcPro daily. You will be responsible for preparing reports, figures, technical report documentation and elements of regulatory documents for the establishment and maintenance of mitigation projects. Necessary Qualifications:BS in an environmental science field such as, but not limited to, ecology, wetland science, aquatic biology, botany, wildlife biology, fisheries, soils, forestry, hydrology, etc. (4-year degree required)Experience with fieldwork/research, data analysis, and scientific writing (e.g. field work, lab work, senior thesis, any volunteer or internship experience in a research setting)Desired Qualifications:MS in an applicable environmental science fieldExperience with benthic macroinvertebrate surveysExperience with freshwater fish surveysExperience with geomorphology data collection and processing.Strong working knowledge of plant identification and vegetation in the southeastExperience performing wetland and stream delineationsExperience with Trimble GPS units, and ArcPro.Experience leading a field team and planning projectsCertifications such as CERP, PWS, or permits for threatened/endangered species collectionAbility to operate a UTV or tractorExperience towing trailers Job Field: Fisheries Forestry Water and Soil Resources Other Job Type: Full Time Location Detail: Athens, GA or Macon, GA Salary: Depends on experience, will be discussed in initial interview stages Job Benefits: Salary, 401k w/ match, healthcare (including dental and vision).
