Fortson 4-H Center in Hampton, GA is hiring environmental education staff for our Spring season (start date of late January). The primary responsibility is to independently lead K-12 grade students through multidisciplinary classes in an outdoor setting. Class subjects offered include life and earth science, ecology, team building, outdoor skills, and living history. Other responsibilities include animal care, maintenance of teaching areas and resources, facilities, grounds, and support of general operations of the facility. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Education, Environmental Education, Forestry, Natural Resources, Outdoor Education, Science, or related field. First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Salary: $13.25/hr Benefits: Salary is $13.25/hr (includes a limited insurance policy). Housing is provided for $20/week. Seasonal Staff may also visit and stay overnight for free at 3 other Georgia 4-H Centers. Rock Eagle Center is located in Eatonton, GA. Wahsega 4-H Center is located in the North Georgia Mountains. Burton 4-H Center is on the Atlantic Coast near Savannah on Tybee Island.
