This position is located in the Wildlife Bureau at the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. This position will be within the Private Lands Program working primarily with private landowners. This position may be responsible but not limited to: site visits, habitat recommendations, Fire on the Forty, etc.

What you'll need to be successful
This position performs environmental/natural resources work that requires advanced knowledge of scientific principles, practices, and techniques in an area or multiple areas. Positions at this level are required to interpret the principles, theories and concepts of a scientific specialty and regulatory requirements. At this level, employees perform complex statistical analyses, may prepare and review technical documents to ensure regulatory compliance, identify potential problem areas or issues and contribute to developing solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 4-6 years of experience.
