Full-time, Permanent, Represented position

Location: Naches, WA.

Location flexibility may be available and considered

Work Hours and Partial Telework flexibility may be available and considered

Relocation Compensation may be available and considered

Salary: $4,174.00 - $5,615.00 Monthly

 

Responsibilities:

 

--Assist in the planning and implementation of commercial and non-commercial federal restoration projects as a Restoration Specialist within the Federal Lands Program.

--Perform project layout, including unit boundary establishment, road design, timber marking, and cruising, according to program objectives and relevant state and federal laws.

--Develop and review restoration project contracts and packets for advertisement and auction.

--Perform compliance of commercial and non-commercial restoration projects while coordinating -with state and federal partners.

--Utilize other natural resource professionals’ expertise in planning management activities to help identify resource protection measures that may be required.

--Review, interpret, and comply with federal design criteria from NEPA and other relevant state and federal law.

--Assist other Federal Lands Program personnel with restoration projects statewide.

Qualifications:

--Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or other applicable natural resource field;

AND 1 year of experience applying theory, policy, principles, and practices of the forestry profession - (i.e., fundamentals of silviculture of northwest species, markets and economics, cruising methods, sales layout, logging methods, engineering, plant nutrition, propagation, weed control, reforestation, intensive forest practices, recreation, multiple-use, inventory, water quality, watershed management, and basic principles of fisheries management.);

OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

--Experience with fieldwork in the outdoors.

--Experience and competency in ArcGIS; and Office Suite.

--Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.

Salary:
$50,088.00 - $67,380.00 Annually
