Job Description:

The Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) seeks a creative, critical thinker who has robust experience in fiscal management, staff supervision, and a passion to help the environment. DER’s Finance Manager is a collaborative leadership role that will work closely with senior staff to oversee and manage operational, capital, and federal budgets, procurement, grants, and a growing fiscal team to navigate the complexity and interdisciplinary nature of DER’s work. As DER’s Finance Manager, you can help play a vital role in supporting many active ecological restoration projects throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have at least (A) four (4) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, professional internship, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in financial management work (i.e. budgeting, accounting, auditing, management analysis, program evaluation, financial reporting of program results) or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below

 

 

Substitutions:

 

I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

 

II. An Associate's degree in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience.

 

III. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.

 

IV. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required experience.

 

V. A Doctorate degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.

Miscellaneous:

Please note that requisitions will remain open for 90 days; however, first consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days of the posting, by 11/14/2023.

Salary:
70,002.10 - 107,608.71 Yearly
