Job Description:

Positions Available Are you interested in a wildfire career with the U.S. Forest Service? Then you've come to the right place to start your new career. Challenge yourself to new limits, join the Forest Service men and women who serve to protect millions of acres of our forests, our communities, and our natural resources. Wildland firefighters may be required to work long hours in challenging and changing conditions, such as high temperatures and steep terrain. This job does have many rewards, including the opportunity to work in some of the most beautiful places in the country and create friendships that last a lifetime. The U.S. Forest Service and other federal agencies hire wildland firefighters at different times of the year, depending on the location

 

Qualifications:

Requirements: • Must be 18 years of age before fire season begins

• Classes that must be completed are: o S-130 o S-190 o L-180 o IS 100 o IS 700 o Pack Test (Arduous) 45 minute walk with a 45 pound pack for 3 miles on a track. o Field day to complete Guard School requirement (we provide) Appointment Types:
