The Green River Region Branch is looking for someone to fulfill a Fish and Wildlife Management Foreman position. The Fish and Wildlife Management Foreman is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operation and maintenance of the 2,261-acre Otter Creek Outdoor Recreation Area. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinate activities of the technical staff and implements daily operations, management, and maintenance of the Otter Creek Outdoor Recreation Area within the Green River Region Branch. Hire, oversee, and schedule daily work plans of several technical staff in a park/campground setting. Maintain administrative records and reports and will also make bank deposits. Qualifications: EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a biological, natural, agricultural, or aquacultural sciences. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have one year of experience in wildlife and/or fisheries conservation or related field. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in a biological, natural, agricultural, or aquacultural science will substitute for the required experience. Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in wildlife and/or fisheries conservation or related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must possess a valid driver's license prior to appointment in this classification. Must be (and remain) eligible to hold a Commercial Driver's License when required by agency. Must maintain any required licensure (s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials. Miscellaneous: Preferred Skills and Abilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Familiarity with park or campground administration and management, land management, infrastructure/facilities maintenance, and supervisory/team leader experience. Crew leader/supervisory experience. Experience with managing wildlife habitat.
