Specifically, projects will involve harvest systems evaluation, transportation logistics, supply chain optimization, and environmental impact assessments. Interested students should be current undergraduates in the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources and have a strong interest in applied forestry and field data collection. The internship is open to all Warnell majors. The successful candidates will work as part of a research team involving faculty, graduate students, and staff. Most data collection will be conducted in Georgia but some overnight travel to nearby states will be required. Employees are expected to work 40 hours per week. The position is available beginning June 1, 2023, and will end just prior to the beginning of Fall Semester 2023. Qualifications: Requirements • Ability to pass a background check • Eligible to drive a university vehicle • Ability to work in the field in warm temperatures during the summer Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of basic field measurements techniques (e.g., FANR 3000 or equivalent) • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Experience using common natural resources tools (e.g., clinometers, range finders, compasses, etc.).
