Job Description:

- Oversees logging operations & checks weekly logger security

- Manages company site prep crew daily

- Creates and enforces annual silvicultural planning/practices: planting, chemical releases, fertilization, etc.

- Marks timber for thinnings (1st & 2nd Thins)

- Creates maps for applicable field operations

- Works up land delineations and assists in appraisals for acquiring company land

- GPSing on foot for accurate acreages and map changes

- Back up to scale operations at the mill scale house when needed

- Landowner representative for the company

Qualifications:

- High school diploma

- Four-year bachelor’s degree in Forest Resource Management

- At least one internship during college years with a ref or six months experience in the field

- Valid driver’s license & clean criminal record

- Must be willing to live within a 30-mile radius of Statesboro, Georgia

- Strong communication skills; full willingness & participation

- Time management skills

- Ability to work well with others

- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel) & experience in ArcGIS Pro

- Willingness to learn & adapt to responsibilities

- Strong work ethic; able to do work that requires physical activity

- Reliable, punctual, & honest

- Positive attitude

- A love for the outdoors
