As we continue to grow, we are looking for entry-level foresters to help shape the future of the forestry industry.Position OverviewWe are seeking passionate and dedicated entry-level foresters to join our field and office teams. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact by contributing to annual forest inventories and forestry operations like timber marking, logging supervision, and reforestation. This position requires occasional travel for out-of-town work, especially inventory tasks. As a key part of our team, you will have the autonomy to work independently with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities• Conduct annual forest inventories with a focus on high-quality service and efficient production.• Operate forestry tools and equipment with precision and safety.• Oversee activities like timber marking, burning schedules, burn crew supervision, and site inspections.• Conduct environmental field assessments and monitor planting quality.• Ensure the proper care and maintenance of company vehicles.• Enforce timber sale contracts and perform preliminary reviews of forestry reports.• Use forestry-related software to organize and analyze field data.• Create maps from aerial photos and other sources.• Secure property information from courthouses and relevant agencies• Foster positive relationships with clients, contractors, and buyers to support business growth. Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry (or related field)• Relevant internship or fieldwork experience is a plus.• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability and willingness to travel as needed.• A valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record are essential.
