RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibilities will be field work consisting of forest inventories,
timber and boundary marking; collecting GPS field data, prescribed burning, logging supervision,
planting supervision in addition to other detailed organizational skills with files and paperwork.
Occasional travel out of town will be required for inventory work.
REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work
independently, as well as in a team environment. A minimum of a two-year forestry degree is
required. An additional 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar forestry field is preferred. Computer
skills and other digital skills will be necessary. Good written and verbal communication skills are
required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Includes the ability to traverse distances over one mile on uneven
terrain; work in outdoor forested areas for extended periods in a variety of environmental
conditions; occasionally carry 5 to 10 pounds of equipment over longer distances for extended
periods of time. Must be able to work independently during a work week and complete tasks in a
timely manner. Must have an insurable driving record.
