You will implement the forestry components of the INARNG’s Integrated Natural Resources Management Plan (INRMP). Generally, day to day efforts will focus on forest resources within the ~34,250- acre Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center (CAJMTC) and the ~1,000-acre Muscatatuck Urban Training Center. A Day in the Life: The essential functions of this role are as follows: Plan, develop and administer forestry programs which frequently involve federal, state and local agencies and private individuals/businesses. Manage and assist in the collection of forest resource data for state and federal programs. Provide specialized guidance and coordination in area of expertise, making recommendations to agency/division heads for program objectives. Contract Administration as it relates to TSI, timber sales, reforestation, etc. Program budget development and implementation. Work plan development and implementation/supervision. Lead in the training and employee development of lower-level employees. Research new and existing programs and literature for use in the program planning.
