What you'll be doing day to day

By being directly involved in the management of the forestland that we own, we can ensure that our forestland is managed responsibly and therefore makes a net positive impact on communities and the environment, including carbon emission absorption. 


As a Forestland District Team Leader, you will: 

  • Lead and develop the forestland team within a specified district and identify and develop successors. 
  • Manage and monitor the forest operations activities (e.g., planting, infrastructure maintenance, harvesting, tactical and operational planning). 
  • Prepare, execute and follow-up the annual plan for forest maintenance and wood harvesting, according to Forest Standard Operating Procedures and annual budget for the district. 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the annual forest maintenance and wood harvesting plan in accordance with the Forest Standard Operating Procedures and the district's annual budget. 
  • Secure the Ingka Investments working standards, local legislation and environmental compliance in forest operations. 
  • Manage forest operations goals, KPIs, and costs. 
  • Investigate new leads in the process of new forestland acquisitions. 
  • Secure and prepare the harvest plan. 
  • Effectively contribute to the optimization of timber sales.
Qualifications:

  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge about how to use different programs in the standard MS Office package.
  • Good judgement and ability to make sound and common-sense decisions.
  • Basic understanding of Geographic Information Systems.
Salary:
$70,531.00 - $102,270.00
