Job Description:

The Forestry and Agriculture Special Programs Manager will provide support in three key areas: (1) assisting landowners in enrolling in various Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) programs, such as ACEP, ALE, WRE, etc.; (2) providing guidance to other land trusts engaging in carbon sequestration activities that are modeled after GALT’s successful, carbon sequestration project and related grant administration activities; and (3) providing guidance to private landowners regarding longleaf pine – including associated habitats – restoration and enhancement. The ideal candidate will have a background in forestry, land management, and/or biology, with experience in each of these identified areas. Additionally, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as business experience are desirable.
