As an Inventory Analyst you will be responsible for performing a variety of data management duties including analysis and reporting of resource information across AFM data management contracts while maintaining and updating database information systems using Forest Projection and Planning System (FPS) software, and related systems, supporting land management information services offered by AFM in the West. Job Functions and Responsibilities:Annual and periodic updates using FPS forest inventory software and related systemsTechnical analysis of forest resource information related to forest inventoryCarbon project design assistance and reportingForest inventory quality control and monitoring systems (cutout analysis)Growth and yield, inventory data reporting to clients and staffDesign and administer field inventory cruising using inventory data collection systemsMaintain data collection software, procedures, and equipmentOversee contract administration and check cruisers for field projectsAcquisition/Disposition support - Inventory Validation, growth & yield modeling, inventory verification cruise design, and client reportingBudgeting for assigned responsibilities Other tasks as assigned by the District and Region Managers Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of related experienceBachelor’s Degree in Forestry or equivalentAbility to explain technical analysis and interpret results from programs through verbal and written communicationsExperience with a range of forest inventory systems, inventory analysis and statisticsAbility to manage multiple projects under strict time constraintsAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced work environmentProficiency in basic computer programs such as MS Word, Excel and AccessAbility to work and communicate effectively within a team environment Location:While our strong preference is for the candidate to be based near and able to commute to our Kirkland, WA office, we are open to remote arrangements for candidates who can commute to another American Forest Management office within the Pacific Northwest region.
