Job Description:
This position will work within the Marketing and Communications department and report to VP of Marketing while also working closely with a Front End UX Web Developer and members of the IT team, particularly a Web Developer II (Full Stack) and a Web Developer. There will be a great deal of collaboration with the Director of IT and Director of Membership’s teams as we move forward with impactful website and ecommerce builds. This position will be responsible for helping create and update content, look and feel within our current and future websites and will facilitate the migration of these functionalities to future website platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • General website design, UX improvements, and content post creation.
  • Design and support the organization’s external websites and events web platform for PF & QF members and general web users.
  • Create accessible style templates and components to allow lay staff to post consistent and well styled content.
  • Audit existing webpage user experiences and page structures to document issues and implement improvements with UX best practices. Monitor and test organization’s external websites to ensure all pages, links, navigation and processes are functioning properly and are styled and structured consistently.
  • Introduce updated styling techniques to website to increase user engagement.
  • Collaborate with Full Stack Developer(s) to properly style new website functions and forms to be ascetically pleasing and consistent with website styling.
  • Work with other departments within the organization to develop and build new page templates and functionalities that serve external informational needs of public-facing departmental programs.
  • Collaborate with Front End UX Developer and Graphic Design Team to develop functional and enduring style sheets for organization rebranding and new website build.
  • Act as internal-expert of the assigned systems and maintain changes to the current codebase documented in DevOps
  • Style new functionalities as requested from the VP of Marketing and content creators
  • Help track and report progress on current web-related projects to key internal stakeholders 
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users and content creators
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or a related field
  • Core Skills: Front end languages and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Github Skills: Know how to use Git to create code repositories, manage code versions, and push new code to live software


Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years experience working in web development.
  • Experience interacting with different JavaScript libraries.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps Services, Microsoft CRM.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights.
  • Front end web development, responsive design techniques, cross-browser compatibility, web performance optimization, UX/graphic design, web animations, process improvement, troubleshooting, and debugging.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical users.
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and maintains detailed documentation when creating or maintaining templates, scripts and code.
  • Interest in the outdoors, conservation and upland hunting is a bonus.

Salary:
$60,000 - $70,000 based on qualifications and experience.
