Job Description:

The State Parks Seasonal Resource Crew assists in prepping, Rx Fire on Georgia State Park and sometimes partners land. Housing is provided, work truck provided. Work days generally Monday - Friday, however depending on weather, we may work on Saturday or Sunday. Housing and base are located at Hard Labor Creek State Park. Travel Allowance provided. Workers will receive S130-I190 Wildland Fire Training, S212 Chainsaw Training, and First/Aid CPR-Stop the Bleed Training. Also opportunities to learn field identification of native Georgia flora/fauna, and exotics that threaten our landscapes. Must be in good physical shape, and be able to work outdoors in all types of weather. Days can be long, and position requires much travel. Work can also include exotic plant control, Hemlock Woolly Adelgid control.

Qualifications:

Applicants should be passionate about our natural resources and land management. Applicants must have good communication skills, be able to follow instructions, and be willing to learn. Applicants must also be in good physical shape, and enjoy working outdoors in all types of conditions.

Salary:
$12.50/hr
