The Water Conservation Office (WCO) is part of the Public Utilities Department of the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government. The mission of the Water Conservation Office is to promote a water-efficient lifestyle through education, collaboration, and action to sustain our water portfolio and elevate the value of water in Athens-Clarke County (ACC). This is accomplished through K-12 school visits, community outreach efforts, water treatment facility tours, annual events, workshops, and more. The graduate assistant is responsible for preparing and presenting educational programs, leading tours of water treatment facilities, assisting with community events. 

Qualified candidates have strong public speaking skills and are comfortable working with children K-12. As a Graduate Assistant you must feel comfortable supervising interns while managing your own tasks. It is likely to have multiple tasks or events within a given day therefore you may be working independently or with one another to accomplish our mission of promoting a water-efficient lifestyle.
