Why PMRC?

The Plantation Management Research Cooperative (PMRC) is a partnership between the forest industry and the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. With over 30 industry members—including forest investors, management firms, and service providers—the PMRC has been a leader in forest research since its establishment in 1975.

As it approaches its 50th anniversary in 2025, the PMRC continues to maintain some of the most long-term research field trials across the southern U.S. Joining the PMRC research team offers students the opportunity to strengthen their quantitative skills and build a robust network with forestry professionals.
