This is an entry level position for a forestry professional that desires to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to a superior timberland operation. Key Responsibilities Commitment to error free work results Promote SFI objectives through forestry management activities Provide timely and accurate field reports and reconnaissance findings Collection, cataloging, organization, and distribution of field collected GPS data Continuous improvement of spatial data set for the Roanoke Timberlands Represent the Company positively in all interactions with agencies and industry cooperators Maintain good relationships with the public and neighbors at all times Models company core values Requirements Qualifications: Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in Forestry or Bachelor’s degree in related natural resource field of study Zero (0) to two (2) years’ experience Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently Highly organized with ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment Excellent listening and verbal communication skills Physically capable of working in forested environments and adverse terrain in all weather conditions Strong interpersonal skills Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent proficiency in all aspects of MS Office and other company software Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Forestry Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro Miscellaneous: Description Founded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately owned company and one of North America's leading producers of particleboard, medium density fiberboard and thermally fused laminates.
