Take the Next Step

Students come to Warnell in a variety of ways. Some find out about us in high school, while others learn about our programs halfway through their college careers. No matter how your path takes you to Warnell, know that we have dedicated professionals to guide you through the process.

PREPARING TO APPLY TO UGA?

When you complete the online application at admissions.uga.edu, be sure to select one of Warnell’s majors as your intended major (Fisheries & Wildlife, Forestry, Natural Resource Management and Sustainability, or Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management.) Not sure about a major yet? Select “BSFR Unspecified” as your choice.

Why select a major?

There are several benefits to declaring your major as you enter UGA!

  • Meet one-on-one with an advisor who knows your requirements
  • Stay on track for entering our programs
  • You will be added to Warnell’s email list, keeping you connected to news and updates about scholarships, jobs, internships, important dates, and club events
  • It’s not set in stone—you can always change!

ALREADY A UGA STUDENT?

Our students receive regular news and updates, including job and internship posts, club meetings and announcements, and access to school-wide events. Students can enter Warnell as a pre-professional student at any time with no prerequisites. But in order to be accepted into the professional program, Warnell requires a minimum 2.5 GPA as well as completion of specific required courses. Our advisors will work with you to recommend certain classes and help you stay on track for graduation.
