Job Description:
  • Provide technical expertise for Anadromous fish passage and survival at culverts; road crossings; hydroelectric and diversion facilities (pumped and gravity fed); fish screens and ladders.
  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic engineering calculations required to evaluate what is required to keep culverts and road crossing structures in a state of good repair in order to support upstream and downstream fish passage.
  • Review and provide design conclusions on projects assessing the accuracy and reliability of the results for hydraulic engineering projects assigned to them.
  • Engage in stream flows measurement or collecting on-site information needed to develop functional designs for road crossing facilities.
Qualifications:
  1. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
  2. Suitable for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.
  3. Selectee may be subject to serving a one-year probationary period.

  5. Must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable (www.sss.gov)
  6. This position is not in the bargaining unit.
  7. Selectee must provide a valid state driver's license & safe driving record.
  8. This is a term appointment not to exceed 13 months with possible extensions up to a total of 4 years without further competition. Appointment to this position will not convey permanent status in the Federal service.
Salary:
$74,137 - $115,518 per year
