These seasonal positions will be working directly with Pheasants Forever, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Intermountain West Joint Venture, and other partner staff to assist in habitat projects in SW Idaho’s Owyhee Uplands and other nearby areas. These positions will be needed from approximately May to August (negotiable). Day to day supervision will come from PF, BLM, and partner staff. We are looking for motivated individuals with the ability to work long hours in the field during peak field season. Knowledge of and passion for wildlife management, natural resources management, conservation, and working lands is sought. Work will involve mostly field work but also some office work. Field work will involve driving highway and off-road vehicles and traversing rugged terrain on foot. A valid driver’s license is required. This is a demanding but rewarding job. The right individual will gain incredible experience working with landowners, resource personnel from several agencies, and volunteers while building, enhancing and maintaining conservation projects and wildlife habitat. Qualifications: Able to work outdoors Knowledge of vegetation monitoring practices Ability to use GPS units Valid driver’s license Excellent communication Able to work with an interdisciplinary team Accept varied and changing responsibilities in the job, develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with partner agencies and the public.
