  • Google Workspace: If you maintain an active@uga.edu email address, you can continue to use Google Workspace services.
  • LinkedIn Learning: Through the UGA Retirees Association, you may be able to continue your access to LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com).
  •  DUO Multi-Factor Authentication: As of March 2025, retirees are required to use Duo for logging into UGAMail and Microsoft 365 products to enhance security.
 Reduced or removed access
  •   Microsoft 365: Upon retirement, you will lose access to Microsoft 365 applications and products that were connected to your@uga.edu email address.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Retirees are not eligible for a named user account for Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Storage limitations: Your UGAMail inbox storage is reduced from 100 GB to 25 GB upon retirement. Your OneDrive storage limit is also reduced to 100 GB.
How to maintain your account
To ensure you don't lose access to your MyID and UGAMail, you must log in at least once a year.
  •  UGA's Enterprise Information Technology Services (EITS) conducts an annual review of all retiree accounts.
  • If your account has not been accessed for a year or more, it will be marked as inactive.
  • You will receive several notices and reminders before deactivation, giving you a chance to log in and keep your account active.
 Next steps for retirees
  •   Log in annually: Make sure you log in to your UGAMail account at least once a year to prevent it from being deactivated.
  •  If you have specific access questions about specialized software or departmental licenses, you can contact your former departmental IT professional.
  • Contact EITS: If you have questions about your account status or access to general software, you can contact EITS for more information.
