Inventory Forester

The Inventory Forester will join the North Louisiana Arkansas Team within the Southern Timberlands Business and report to the Inventory Manager. This is an execution-focused role with a preferred location to be in the Sheridan, AR office; however, consideration will be given to the Crossett, AR office for internal candidates. Some overnight travel may be required for off-site meetings and field data verification (less than 10%).   



As the Inventory Forester, you will work within the NLAR Planning and Inventory Team, which is responsible for harvest planning, forest inventory, forest data management, and GIS and mapping. You will be a key member of this team and assist in managing the forest inventory program, oversee the data quality in the Forest Management System (FMS) and provide mapping services to the NLAR Region. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with forest measurement techniques, harvesting and silvicultural (Early and Mid-rotation) practices, and have knowledge and understanding of cruising/sampling, GIS (ArcMap preferred), GPS, and mobile technologies.
