Employer LandYield Job Description, Responsibilities and Required Qualifications or Skills Job DescriptionThe newly created LandYield Landowner Engagement Associate position will work directly with landowners to guide them through the submission and enrollment process for LandYield’s forest carbon program. Primary duties involve proactive outreach—calling new and existing landowner contacts to raise awareness, educating landowners regarding LandYield’s program offerings, addressing landowner questions, and providing technical guidance. These efforts will be in coordination and support of LY’s Sales and Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or education in forest management, outreach and sales and/or forest carbon programs within the LandYield service area. As part of a small, growing team, the position requires flexibility, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities in support of LandYield’s mission.Key Responsibilities:• Landowner Outreach/Recruitment Supporto Support landowner recruitment efforts through personal communication (email, phone calls, in-person visits) to inform and educate around program requirements, answer questions, and help landowners through the enrollment processo Work with sales and GIS team to identify and contact high potential landownerso Support and maintain the landowner sales pipelineo Manage and grow relationships with consulting foresters and firms across LandYield service areao Represent LandYield at landowner and forestry conferences across the Midwest and Eastern US• Project Submission and Contracting Supporto Support landowners with project submissions as needed, including answering questions about the LandYield platformo Communicate with landowners over phone and email to help them complete sites and submit needed documentso Follow up with landowners to answer questions about the LandYield program and move them through the contracting process.Secondary Responsibilities:• Project Due Diligenceo Review submitted forest carbon project sites for program eligibilityo Review submitted landowner documents including, deeds, tax bills, and easements according to approved SOPso Perform title and deed searches as needed to confirm ownership and program eligibility o Acquire deeds from county courthouses when necessary or directedo Clearly communicate site updates and requests to landowner both over email and phoneA successful candidate will be:Passionate and enthusiastic about engaging with landowners, learning about their property, and building trust in the LandYield program through personal interactionsManaging project submissions with care, attention to detail, and solution-oriented mindsetOngoing, open communication and coordination with teamCommunicating clearly with landowners about project submissions and ongoing reviewsBuild a network of consulting foresters and serve as their primary point of contactBringing a positive, solution-oriented mindset to the teamApplicants should email a resume and cover letter to this email address: info@landyield.com Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or relevant sales experience with demonstrated interest in forestry/natural resources or experience recruiting landowners for enrollment in similar programs or leases for oil and gas, renewable energy, cell towers, etc.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with landowners by phone, email, and in person.1-3 years experience working in a forestry or environment-adjacent field (internship experience can be included in this)Demonstrated adaptability and team-oriented mindset, with the willingness to support outreach, enrollment, and operational tasks in a dynamic, fast-growing organization.Demonstrated interest in carbon markets and natural resource management Job Field: Forestry Job Type: Full Time Location Detail: Preferred Location: Chattanooga, TN Salary: $60,000 – 80,000 based on experience and success Job Benefits: • Full benefits including healthcare, 401k, paid time off• Annual performance-based bonus Application Deadline: Sat, 11/22/2025 - 12:00pm Link to Full Job Posting: https://landyield.com
