This position is in Grade M, additional information can be found: State Employee Compensation | Division of Human Resources (idaho.gov) Minimum salary $29.75 per hour, rate of pay will depend on qualifications and experience. Example of Duties Lands Resource Supervisor Responsibilities: Participates in the staff selection process by interviewing and making hiring decisions and recommendations for permanent employees Authorized to approve all temporary employee hiring Sets priorities and employee objectives Creates employee development plans to accomplish department and employee goals Creates work plans and directs activities to ensure all necessary work is completed Evaluates employee performance by guiding employees and providing feedback Program Management and Planning Facilitation Coordination and evaluation of program activities to meet department goals and resource concerns Identify land use opportunities and maximize resource manager efficiency Prioritizing the development and implementation of management plans such as: Forest improvement project plans Timber sale plans and notices Other program plans Reviews and provides technical assistance and guidance to staff on land resource issues related to the timber program, such as: Silvicultural plans Statistical analyses to determine sales volumes Road engineering Logging engineering Contract and lease administration Hazard management plans Forest Practices Act rules compliance Administration Responsibility Budgeting of annual program operating expenses Temporary personnel costs Maintenance and various projects Reviews the accuracy of program budget accounting and approves payments Reviews and approves expenditures within the authority Monitors program budget throughout the year Fieldwork is inspected and documents are reviewed for technical requirements, compliance with state and federal laws and fairness in lease/contract administration Facilitates communications between area staff and bureaus Public Relations Provides information in response to public, legislative and industry requests Ensures access to endowment lands by prioritizing needs and acquiring rights-of-way Represents the Department on committees of concern Works with private landowners, contractors, county government officials and the general public on a case-by-case basis as the specialty warrants Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Notice: You must possess all the minimum qualifications listed below to pass the exam for this position.
