BIFP is currently searching for a highly driven and competitive Commodity Trader Trainee to join our growth-oriented team and contribute to the company's success through the buying and selling of forest products.

 

A Commodity Trader Trainee will contribute to our company’s success through the buying and selling of forest products while building relationships with our customers.  As a Trader Trainee, you will begin to learn the ins and outs of our industry through our development program, while becoming equipped with the necessary tools that lead to success on the trading floor. From there, you will develop into a Commodity Trader with the opportunity to be a key player in the forest products industry.

Responsibilities

Learn about our industry by working within our logistics department and operations team

Start building your book of business by networking, qualifying prospects and cold calling

Call on customers to leverage supply and negotiate sales

Input orders and follow through with shipment to ensure timely delivery

Call on suppliers to determine pricing strategies and orders

Attend and participate in morning market meetings

Prospect new customers by working with department leaders and

Plan and execute yearly business plan with guidance by President
