M.S. Graduate Teaching Assistantships in Biology

Employer
University of West Georgia
Job Description, Responsibilities and Required Qualifications or Skills

The Biology Program at the University of West Georgia is offering two graduate teaching assistantships for M.S. thesis applicants starting this fall. These 10-month positions support undergraduate laboratory instruction and include a stipend and tuition waiver. Students will conduct thesis research under faculty supervision and enroll in the M.S. Biology program beginning August 2025. Continuation of support into the summer and the second year is contingent on student progression and applying for available assistantships.

Prospective students should contact potential thesis advisors from one of our 14 UWG Biology faculty members spanning a variety of subdisciplines. Once an advisor is identified, submit an M.S. application (due June 1) that includes a personal statement, resume, official transcripts, and two letters of recommendation. Questions can be directed to the graduate program coordinator, Dr. Andrew Edelman, aedelman@westga.edu. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.
