The Natural Resources Technician shall be required to perform supporting field duties to include: • Prescribed burning, wildlife trapping, forestry cruising, wildlife surveys, forest inventory, invasive species control, operating equipment associated with these tasks as well as other natural resources management operations. • Some of the equipment used and maintained by KGS: Dump truck, road grader, farm tractors, Dozers, ATV/UTV, Wildland Fire Brush Trucks, backhoe, boat and air boat. Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have a degree in either Wildlife Biology/Forestry, plus 3+ years’ experience. In addition, this candidate will have a Class A or B CDL (preferred - must be able to obtain), boat operator’s license (preferred - must be able to obtain), NWGC firefighter Type 2 certification (preferred-must be able to obtain) and commercial pesticide license (preferred - must be able to obtain). Candidates must be able to pass background check for security clearance and have a valid driver license with acceptable violation history. Other requirements include passing a company physical and drug screening, and a “Fit for Duty” statement. Certification in field of expertise is preferred plus National, regional, State and Local environmental related certifications requiring experience and written examination preferred.
