Job Description:

The person in this role will report to the business owner and collaborate with other managers on the team. To be successful in this role, you must be organized, responsible, teachable, and able to quickly learn the business, its customers, and employees.

Job Duties:

Office Management

  • Respond to daily emails, issue refunds, schedule group events, schedule birthday parties, etc.
  • Order all food and supplies for the farm.
  • Manage all aspects of employee recruiting and development.
  • Collect daily mail, pay bills, collect payments, fill out paperwork, etc as needed.
  • Brainstorm new and inventive ideas for overall growth and improvements to the farm.

Employee Management

  • Responsible for updating and posting job applications.
  • Screen employee job applications, set up interviews, and run the interview and hiring process.
  • Organize and execute orientation and training days.
  • Create the weekly schedules using the WhenIWork platform.
  • Act as the on-site manager when the farm is open.
  • Respond to employee emails, texts, and phone calls on a regular basis.
  • Effectively communicate with employees about orientation, training, schedules, updates throughout the season, etc.
  • Remain friendly, approachable, and kind even when busy!

Marketing Management

  • Manage all social media platforms including regular posting on Instagram, Facebook, and others.
  • Responsible for all marketing efforts through social media, email marketing, radio, online ads, etc.
  • Responsible for creating the content calendar for the promotion of the fall festival, strawberry festival, events, holiday seasons, etc.
  • Design, write and distribute newsletters, press releases and other written materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years' experience with social media, employee relations, or business management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Weekend availability during busy seasons.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in a leadership/management type position
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Naturally friendly and approachable personality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
Salary:
40,000-50,000
