Job Description:

Washington Farms is a prominent agritourism destination in the state of Georgia and is currently looking to hire additional farm hands to work alongside the farm manager and his team! Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting with planting and/or harvesting, helping with construction and building projects, mowing grass, weed eating, general landscaping, etc.

 

Since Washington Farms is part of the agritourism industry, we are open to the general public in the spring and fall for our fun activities and U-Pick options. The agritourism side of the business requires all employees, including farm hands, to engage with customers and our part-time employees on the weekends during the “on” season.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

 

Farming, landscaping, construction or related manual labor experience.

Willingness to work some evenings and weekends, depending on the season.

Must be able to work individually as well as with a team.

Must be able to follow instructions with minimal to no supervision.

Experience with basic landscaping equipment preferred.

Must be able and willing to perform outdoor manual labor daily.

Positive attitude and integrity

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Knowledge of tractors, irrigation and running farm equipment

Knowledge of planting, harvesting and related processes

Knowledge or experience with building/construction related projects

Salary:
$12-$16 depending on experience

As a farm hand at Washington Farms, the goal is for you to learn and train under the General Farm Manager in hopes of gaining valuable experience and knowledge of agriculture, farming, and agritourism.
